Midstream enterprises manufacture the fixed-bed products through processes including impregnation, co-precipitation, aging, drying, calcination, and shaping (into spheres, tablets, or extrudates). Downstream applications are concentrated in oil refining, steam cracking, FCC, MTO/MTP, and polyolefin units; these agents are typically installed upstream of selective hydrogenation or polymerization catalysts, and spent products are generally disposed of as arsenic-containing hazardous waste.
