The housing can be constructed from flame-retardant and anti-static ABS engineering plastic, powder-coated steel, cast aluminum, or stainless steel. Internally, the unit comprises a support frame, splice trays, cable anchoring mechanisms, sealing rings, heat-shrink protective sleeves, and fasteners. It is primarily used for fiber splicing and distribution in underground coal mine environments where methane and coal dust hazards exist. Downstream applications include underground industrial Ethernet, video surveillance, personnel positioning, safety monitoring, voice dispatch, emergency broadcasting, intelligent mining, centralized control for conveyor belts, inspection robots, and unmanned systems. The 8-port model is particularly suitable for locations requiring the connection of multiple branch cables, such as shaft-bottom stations, central substations, transport roadway intersections, and communication aggregation points within mining districts. The upstream supply chain includes flame-retardant ABS, glass fiber-reinforced resin, steel and stainless steel, rubber seals, cable glands, splice trays, fiber adapters, pigtails, heat-shrink sleeves, and fasteners.
