The upstream of the industry chain includes raw materials such as petroleum coke and quartz sand, as well as energy-intensive sintering equipment. The midstream requires mastering core technologies in formulation, molding, and recrystallization sintering. The downstream covers industrial kiln manufacturers and high-end manufacturing sectors such as new energy and electronics. As of 2025, the average price of domestically produced SiC heating elements was ¥80–1,200 per piece (depending on specifications and performance), while imported products could be 2–4 times more expensive. The overall industry gross profit margin was between 25% and 55%, with higher gross profit margins for high-end applications due to technological barriers and customized requirements. Driven by the "dual carbon" (silicon carbide and silicon carbide) and advanced manufacturing, market demand continued to grow steadily. In 2024, global SiC heating element production was approximately 5,255,000 pieces, with a global average market price of approximately US$45 per piece. Global SiC heating element production capacity was approximately 7,000,000 pieces in 2024.
