Common processes include surface hardening, induction tempering, induction annealing, induction brazing, and induction stress relief for gears, shafts, camshafts, bearing races, splines, valve seats, fasteners, and automotive transmission components.
Full service workflow: fixture setup matching part geometry & induction coil design, high-frequency electromagnetic heating, timed spray/immersion quenching, post-induction tempering, hardness testing, dimensional inspection, and batch compliance documentation.
The main demand driver is the need for localized hardening with low distortion. Compared with furnace hardening, induction heat treating can harden only the working surface, tooth area, bearing surface, spline, shaft end, or selected wear zone. This makes it attractive for parts that require high surface hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength, and dimensional accuracy.
Demand is strongest in automotive, heavy machinery, aerospace, agriculture equipment, power tools, bearings, gears, shafts, and industrial machinery.
