High Purity Tin Powder refers to metallic tin (Sn) that has undergone additional purification to reduce metallic, non-metallic and, for semiconductor applications, radioactive impurities to extremely low levels. In commercial practice, the term generally covers tin with purity of 4N (99.99%) or higher, while semiconductor, optoelectronic and other high-end electronic applications increasingly use 5N (99.999%), 6N (99.9999%) or higher-purity grades. There is no single universal purity threshold, so the required grade is normally defined by both total purity and limits for individual impurities such as Pb, Cu, Fe, As, Bi, Ag and radioactive contaminants.
Compared with conventional refined tin, high purity tin provides more tightly controlled electrical, chemical and metallurgical properties. It is supplied as ingots, bars, shots, granules, pellets, wire, sheets, tablets, powders or deposition materials according to downstream requirements.

1. The most important growth driver is the continuing expansion of the semiconductor and advanced electronics industries. High-density packaging, chiplets, HBM, high-performance computing, automotive electronics and increasingly complex semiconductor devices require soldering and interconnection materials with very tightly controlled impurities.
