Midstream manufacturers formulate, shape, dry, calcine, and screen these materials—based on the target chloride species and operating temperatures—to produce spherical or cylindrical fixed-bed adsorbents. Downstream, these products are primarily deployed in catalytic reforming, isomerization, steam-based hydrogen production, methanol synthesis, and alkane dehydrogenation units for the deep purification of hydrogen-rich gas, synthesis gas, and hydrocarbon gases.
