Fluazinam technical grade is an industrial-grade pesticide raw material made with fluazinam as the active ingredient. It belongs to the diarylamine class of broad-spectrum protective fungicides and is mainly used in the production of suspension concentrates (SC), water-dispersible granules (WG), and wettable powders (WP). Fluazinam has a multi-site bactericidal mechanism, inhibiting spore germination and mycelial growth by interfering with the energy metabolism and oxidative phosphorylation processes of pathogenic cells, thereby achieving the purpose of disease control.
The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes suppliers of fluorinated chemical raw materials, nitrobenzene compounds, pesticide intermediates, and other fine chemical raw materials; the downstream mainly consists of pesticide formulation companies, agricultural input distributors, and growers. It is widely used in the control of late blight, gray mold, sclerotinia rot, and root rot in crops such as potatoes, peanuts, grapes, apples, citrus, and vegetables.
In 2025, global sales of fluazinam technical grade were 7,500 tons, with a production capacity of approximately 10,700 tons, an average selling price of US$19,800 per ton, and an average gross profit margin of 25%-35%.
Fluazinam is primarily used for disease control in high-value crops such as potatoes, peanuts, grapes, apples, citrus, and vegetables, with a focus on managing late blight, gray mold, sclerotinia rot, and root rot. North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region are the main consumer markets. With the expansion of global cash crop planting areas and the increasing demand for disease resistance management, fluazinam maintains stable demand in the fruit and vegetable and cash crop sectors, particularly holding a significant position in the potato late blight control market.
