According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Embedded Copper PCB market size was valued at US$ 463 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 776 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 7.6% during review period.
In 2025, global sales volume of Embedded Copper PCB was approximately 620,000 square meters, with a mainstream enterprise-level average selling price of about US$726 per square meter. The gross margin of major manufacturers in the industry was approximately 24%–38%.
Embedded Copper PCB is a type of high-thermal-conductivity, high-current printed circuit board in which solid copper blocks, copper coins, copper pillars, copper sheets, copper busbars, or special-shaped copper inserts are embedded inside the PCB or in specific local areas. Its core feature is not simply increasing copper foil thickness, but integrating solid copper components with FR-4, high-Tg resin, high-frequency materials, or hybrid laminates through slotting, lamination, resin filling, copper plating, and interlayer interconnection processes. As a result, the embedded copper components directly undertake local heat dissipation, low-thermal-resistance heat conduction, high-current transmission, and power device connection functions. Compared with conventional heavy copper PCB, Embedded Copper PCB can create a shorter thermal path at local heat-source positions, reduce device junction temperature and board surface temperature rise, enhance current-carrying capacity, lower conduction resistance, reduce heat loss, and improve thermal stability and mechanical reliability under high-power operating conditions.
This product is mainly used in high-power, high-current, and high-heat-dissipation electronic systems, including new energy vehicle power control, energy storage system, industrial power supply, communication base station, and high-power LED applications. Typical applications include motor controller, BMS, battery power distribution module, DC/DC converter, inverter, EV charging pile power supply, servo drive, RF power amplifier, power module, and LED driver board. Unlike metal-based PCB and DBC/AMB ceramic substrate, it remains an embedded copper structure within the PCB system, while also supporting circuit design, interlayer interconnection, and localized thermal management. Unlike external copper busbar assembly, its copper block or copper busbar is integrated inside the PCB or within specific areas of the board body, helping reduce module size, simplify assembly structure, and improve system integration.
