The main difference between dry single-plate clutches compared to wet multi-plate clutches is that they do not require lubricating oil for cooling and lubrication. The main components of a dry single plate clutch include a friction plate and a steel plate, which are installed in the clutch housing. When the clutch is in the disengaged state, the friction plate is separated from the steel plate and no power is transmitted. When the clutch is in the engaged state, the friction plate is pressed against the steel plate, transmitting power through friction, allowing the engine's power to be transmitted to the transmission system.
