An electronic oil pump, also known as an electric oil pump, is an oil pump driven by an electric motor. It consists of three subsystems: a pump, a motor, and an electronic control system. Initially used in stop-start vehicles to maintain oil pressure and lubricate automatic transmissions/continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) when the engine is stopped. With the development of new energy vehicles, electronic oil pumps are increasingly being used to cool the drive motor.
Upstream industries primarily include raw material industries such as pig iron, steel, and electric motors. These upstream industries are relatively fragmented, highly market-oriented, and have ample supply. The automotive parts industry is not dependent on these upstream industries. However, if significant changes in the market supply and demand of key raw materials or supplier sales strategies occur in the future, resulting in significant fluctuations in procurement prices, this could have a significant adverse impact on the industry's raw material supply or product costs, posing the risk of declining profitability.
This industry has a perfectly positive correlation with the production and sales scale of downstream industries. While water cooling technology currently meets these requirements, it suffers from significant technical drawbacks. The coolant resides in the housing's channels, not in direct contact with the motor. Heat generated within the motor is transferred through layers of material to the coolant in the housing's channels, where it is then dissipated. This constitutes indirect cooling. Because the motor lacks direct access to the coolant, heat can easily accumulate, creating localized hot spots. Furthermore, the layout of the cooling channels requires a larger motor housing. Oil, however, is non-conductive and non-magnetic, so it has no effect on the motor's magnetic circuit. Therefore, it can serve as a direct cooling medium for the motor. During operation, heat generated by the motor is transferred to the motor base via the oil, achieving cooling. Oil-cooled motors employ direct cooling, significantly reducing the motor housing size and enabling more compact designs.
