XLPE insulation compound for power cable refers to crosslinkable polyethylene compounds used as the main insulation layer in power cables. Through peroxide, silane or limited irradiation crosslinking, polyethylene forms a three-dimensional network structure, improving heat resistance, dielectric strength, aging resistance and long-term operating reliability. Key upstream materials include high-purity LDPE/PE base resin, LLDPE/POE and other polyolefins, peroxide crosslinking agents, silane coupling agents, antioxidants, tree-retardant additives, stabilizers, processing aids, clean packaging materials and compounding equipment. Downstream applications include LV/MV distribution cables, urban underground cables, industrial power cables, wind and solar collection cables, HV AC transmission cables, EHV cables, submarine cables and HVDC cables.
