Wind power pultruded glass fibre plates are composite plates made specifically for use in wind turbine blades through the pultrusion process. Its main reinforcing material is glass fibre. Pultrusion is a manufacturing method for composite materials. For wind power pultruded glass fibre plates, it starts with continuous glass fibres. These fibres are drawn through a resin-impregnation system. The resin, which can be epoxy resin, polyester resin, or vinyl - ester resin, coats and saturates the fibres. The resin - impregnated glass fibres then pass through a heated die that has a specific cross-sectional shape designed for the wind power application.
