Ultra-supercritical units mainly refer to ultra-high parameter coal-fired thermal power units with steam pressure of 25MPa and temperature above 580°C. Their power generation efficiency ranges from 43.8% to 45.4%, which is much higher than the 37.5% of subcritical units. The advantage of ultra-supercritical units is to further open up room for reduction in coal consumption per unit of electricity, which is an important direction for the technological upgrading of thermal power stations.
