A synchronous rectification buck converter is a power converter used to step down a high voltage to a lower voltage. It is a switching power supply topology commonly used for power management and power conversion in electronic equipment. Synchronous rectification buck converters operate similarly to non-synchronous buck converters, but a synchronous rectifier is introduced in place of the traditional freewheeling diode.
