Short-range millimeter wave radar is a radar system that uses millimeter wave (mmWave) signals and is mainly used in vehicle applications such as parking assistance, blind spot detection, lane change assistance, etc. The characteristic of short-range millimeter wave radar is that it can provide high-resolution, high-precision, and high-reliability target detection and tracking within a short distance (generally less than 40 meters). The advantages of short-range millimeter wave radar are its small size, low power consumption, high anti-interference, and high temperature stability, and is suitable for working in complex urban traffic environments. Compared with other types of vehicle-mounted radars (such as medium-range radar and long-range radar), the main differences between short-range millimeter wave radars are parameters such as operating frequency, maximum detection distance, and detection angle of view.
