According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Peelable Temporary Protective Coatings market size was valued at US$ 376 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 575 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 6.2% during review period.
In 2025, global sales of Peelable Temporary Protective Coatings reached approximately 61,900 tons, with an average market price of about USD 5.91 kg, an annual production capacity of roughly 64,500 tons, and an industry-average gross margin of approximately 30%.
Peelable Temporary Protective Coatings are formulated coating materials based on waterborne acrylics, waterborne polyurethanes, natural or synthetic latex, vinyl resins, elastomeric rubber systems, UV/visible light-curable acrylates, hot-melt materials, or thermosetting film-forming chemistries. They are applied to target substrates by spraying, brushing, rolling, dipping, screen printing, dispensing, marker application, or packaged coating systems, and then dried, cured, or cooled to form a continuous, flexible, cohesive temporary film with controlled adhesion to the substrate. After the manufacturing, assembly, transportation, storage, construction, masking, or finishing process is completed, the film can be removed by peeling without being designed as a permanent protective layer. These products are used to protect glass, aluminum profiles, metals, plastics, composites, printed circuit boards, electronic components, spray booth surfaces, automotive surfaces, aerospace parts, and industrial workpieces from scratches, contamination, overspray, corrosion, solder contact, plating exposure, or process-related damage. This study focuses on commercially formulated peelable coatings, peelable adhesives, peelable inks, peelable solder masks, and peelable maskants supplied as material products.
