The key upstream requirement is consistency—the same formulation must repeatedly hit the target resistivity window, because “antistatic/ESD” performance can vary with filler type, loading, and dispersion quality. Midstream, compounders melt-compound the PEEK + additive package into pellets and then convert pellets into profiles using extrusion lines and dedicated dies (or, for certain shapes, compression molding), followed by annealing/conditioning, straightness control, and QA checks for both dimensions and electrical performance. Downstream, end users purchase profiles either as near-net semi-finished parts to reduce machining, or as feedstock for CNC machining into rails, guides, fixtures, and handling components—particularly in electronics/semiconductor environments and other industrial areas where static control and high temperature/chemical resistance are both required.
