Non-phosgene polycarbonate, also known as direct transesterification polycarbonate, is a method used to produce polycarbonate (PC). To reduce these risks, direct transesterification polycarbonates were developed. In this method, the transesterification reaction is directly used in the synthesis of polycarbonate, avoiding the use of phosgene. The industrial production methods of polycarbonate mainly include interface polycondensation method, melt transesterification polycondensation method and non-phosgene melt transesterification polycondensation method. The first two types are also called "phosgene method", and the latter type is "Non-phosgene method".
