The digital oscilloscope captures a series of sample values ​​of the waveform and stores these sample values ​​until the accumulated samples are sufficient to depict the complete waveform. After that, the oscilloscope will use these sample values ​​to reconstruct the waveform. According to the core performance indicator-bandwidth, digital oscilloscopes can be divided into three categories: low-end, mid-end, and high-end. The bandwidth of low-end digital oscilloscopes is less than 300MHz, and the sampling rate does not exceed 2GSa/s; the bandwidth of mid-range digital oscilloscopes ranges from 300MHz to 2GHz, and the sampling rate is between 2GSa/s and 5GSa/s; and the bandwidth of high-end digital oscilloscopes exceeds 2GHz, and the sampling rate also reaches 5GSa/s or above.
