Compared with the traditional high-temperature acid hydrolysis of phytic acid route, it has advantages such as milder reaction conditions, less pollution, high stereoselectivity, and ease of scale-up to industrial fermenters.
Using food-grade glucose or crude glycerol as the carbon source (accounting for 45-50% of raw material costs), plus nitrogen sources (ammonia, yeast powder), inorganic salts (KH₂PO₄, MgSO₄), and trace metals, the total raw material cost accounts for 20%; fermentation energy consumption (aeration, stirring, cooling) accounts for 15%; downstream membrane filtration, decolorization, ion exchange, concentration, and crystallization account for 15%.
