Its principal applications include rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics, pain management, sports medicine, and selected peri-procedural cooling applications. Approved indications vary between products and markets. This product category excludes whole-body cryotherapy chambers, conventional ice packs, circulating cold-compression systems, cryoablation or cryosurgical equipment, and cryolipolysis systems.
