Hardware-bound software, communication gateways and alert functions are included.
Conventional drinkers, water tanks, pumps, treatment equipment, generic industrial sensors, aquaculture systems and independent water-testing services are excluded.
The 2025 ASP is US$1,900 per unit, global sales volume is approximately 182.947k units, and the estimated average gross margin is approximately 36%.
The upstream chain includes level sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, water-quality probes, RFID readers, microcontrollers, communication modules, solar panels, batteries and cloud infrastructure. Midstream activities include hardware design, sensor integration, communication development, data-platform development, equipment assembly and system configuration. Downstream users mainly include cattle ranches, dairy farms, poultry farms, swine farms, sheep and goat farms, equine facilities and animal-research institutions.
Global demand is increasing as livestock farms become larger and more automated. Reliable access to drinking water is a basic animal-welfare requirement, while water-system failures can quickly affect animal health, productivity and mortality. Remote monitoring allows farms to identify low levels, leaks, pump failures and interrupted supply earlier.
North America, Australia and parts of Latin America are important markets for remote pasture-water monitoring. Large properties, long travel distances and limited cellular coverage support demand for solar-powered and satellite-connected tank, dam and trough monitoring systems.
Europe has a relatively mature intensive-livestock automation market. Poultry and swine farms increasingly combine water-consumption information with feed, weight, climate and production data to identify abnormal performance and improve animal-welfare management.
Asia-Pacific is expected to remain one of the fastest-growing regions as commercial poultry, swine and dairy farms adopt centralized environmental and production-management platforms. Chinese and other Asian suppliers are expanding lower-cost water-line controllers, consumption data collectors and IoT livestock-management systems.

Connectivity is becoming a major competitive factor.
