Lithium difluorosulfonate, CAS number 171611-11-3, is a new type of fluorine-containing lithium salt, mainly used as an electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries, composite lithium salt systems, and some high-performance main lithium salt systems. LiFSI is usually a white powder with high lithium-ion conductivity, good thermal stability, low-temperature performance, and electrochemical compatibility. It is soluble in water and common electrolyte solvents such as carbonates and ethers. Its core role in battery systems is to improve electrolyte ion conductivity, reduce interface impedance, optimize SEI and CEI film quality, thereby enhancing battery low-temperature discharge, fast charging, cycle life, and high rate performance, especially suitable for high nickel ternary, lithium iron phosphate fast charging, silicon-based negative electrode, energy storage batteries, semi-solid state batteries, and next-generation high-performance electrolyte formulations.
