1. Infrared Security Lens demand is rising as 24-hour and night-vision surveillance becomes a standard requirement. Outdoor CCTV, IP cameras, traffic cameras, warehouses, parking lots, industrial sites, and perimeter security systems increasingly require clear imaging in both daytime and low-light/nighttime conditions. Day/night cameras use visible light in the day and infrared light at night to produce grayscale images, so lenses must maintain focus when the camera switches between visible and IR imaging. 2. Higher-resolution security cameras are pushing IR lenses toward megapixel, 4K, low-distortion, and better day/night optical performance. Modern surveillance systems increasingly use HD, 4MP, 8MP/4K and AI-enabled cameras, which require lenses with higher sharpness, better edge clarity, lower distortion, better coating, and stronger IR transmission. 3. Product differentiation is moving toward varifocal, motorized zoom, and application-specific IR lenses. Basic fixed IR lenses remain widely used in home and small commercial cameras, but higher-value demand is shifting toward varifocal IR lenses, motorized zoom IR lenses, telephoto IR lenses, and wide-angle IR lenses for smart city, traffic, industrial, border, airport, and perimeter security. Remote zoom/focus and iris control are becoming more important because installers want flexible field-of-view adjustment without repeated manual focusing, especially when cameras switch between day and night mode.
