According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Industrial Grease Metering Valve market size was valued at US$ 231 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 328 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 5.1% during review period.
An Industrial Grease Metering Valve is a precision lubricant-distribution component installed in a centralized lubrication system to deliver a predetermined quantity of grease to one or more lubrication points during each operating cycle.
The device normally receives pressurized grease from a central lubrication pump. An internal piston, spool or displacement chamber separates and discharges a fixed or adjustable grease volume. Depending on the system design, the valve may operate as an independent single-line injector, a progressive divider, a dual-line metering valve or a multi-outlet metering block.
In a single-line parallel system, each injector normally serves one lubrication point and can be independently adjusted. In a progressive system, internal pistons move in a defined sequence and distribute lubricant successively through multiple outlets. A blocked outlet can stop the progressive sequence, allowing the complete circuit to be monitored through one cycle indicator or sensor.
The 2025 ASP is US$165 per unit, global sales volume is approximately 1.36 million units, and the estimated average gross margin is approximately 33%.
The upstream chain includes carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, piston and spool components, seals, springs, check valves, indicator pins, proximity sensors, pressure indicators and precision-machined valve bodies. Midstream activities include CNC machining, honing, heat treatment, surface plating, piston matching, seal assembly, outlet configuration, pressure testing, discharge-volume testing and final inspection. Downstream users mainly include industrial machinery manufacturers, construction and mining equipment, commercial vehicles, wind turbines, steel mills, cement plants, paper machines, agricultural machinery, port equipment and marine machinery.
Automatic lubrication is replacing manual greasing in equipment with numerous lubrication points, continuous operation or restricted maintenance access. Metering valves are central to this transition because they determine how much grease reaches each bearing, pin, bushing or sliding surface.
The market is divided principally among single-line injectors, progressive divider valves and dual-line metering valves. Single-line injectors allow each lubrication point to operate independently, while progressive systems make the operating sequence easy to monitor. Dual-line systems are mainly used on large machinery where long pipe distances, high pressure and many lubrication points are required.
Progressive divider valves are gaining share in mobile equipment and medium-sized industrial machinery. Their compact block structure can serve multiple lubrication points and enables the complete circuit to be monitored through one moving piston or cycle sensor.
Single-line parallel injectors remain important in construction equipment, commercial vehicles and production machinery. Each injector can normally be adjusted or replaced independently without changing the complete lubrication circuit.
Large steel, cement, mining, port and paper-production equipment continues to use dual-line systems. Two supply lines allow long-distance distribution and high grease volumes under harsh operating conditions.
Precision machining is a major product-performance factor. Small clearances between the piston and valve bore are required to prevent internal leakage while still allowing reliable operation with high-viscosity grease.
Lubricant consistency affects valve design. Soft grease and oil can be handled by relatively small passages, while NLGI 1 and NLGI 2 grease normally require higher pressure, larger internal passages and stronger return mechanisms. SKF, DropsA, Groeneveld-BEKA and ILC offer metering devices designed for grease up to approximately NLGI 2.
