An Industrial Flue Gas Desulfurization Solution is an integrated treatment system designed to remove sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and certain acidic pollutants from flue gases generated by industrial processes such as power generation, steel, cement, chemicals, metallurgy, and waste incineration. It typically uses wet, semi-dry, dry, circulating fluidized bed, ammonia-based, or limestone-gypsum desulfurization technologies. The solution usually includes absorption towers, desulfurizing agent preparation systems, flue gas handling and heat exchange units, circulation pumps, demisters, slurry treatment systems, gypsum or by-product handling, online monitoring, and automatic control systems. Its main purpose is to reduce SO₂ emissions, meet environmental standards, and improve the stability and cost-effectiveness of industrial air pollution control.
Industrial Flue Gas Desulfurization Solutions will develop toward higher efficiency, lower energy consumption, integrated pollutant control, intelligent operation, and resource recovery. As industrial emission standards become stricter, FGD systems will need not only stable SO₂ removal but also coordinated operation with denitrification, dust removal, mercury control, VOC treatment, and carbon reduction systems, forming integrated flue gas cleaning solutions. Wet FGD will continue to dominate large power plants and heavy industries, while semi-dry, dry, and modular desulfurization solutions will gain wider adoption in small and medium-sized industrial boilers, waste incineration plants, cement kilns, and retrofit projects. Low-energy circulation pumps, high-efficiency demisters, intelligent chemical dosing, online emission monitoring, digital control systems, and resource utilization of by-products such as gypsum or ammonium sulfate will become key upgrade directions, shifting FGD systems from standalone environmental equipment toward efficient, intelligent, and low-carbon integrated treatment platforms.
