The hydraulic bursting tester is used to measure the bursting strength of textile materials under increasing hydrostatic pressure. This pressure is applied to a circular area of ​​the sample via an elastic diaphragm. A pneumatic clamping device clamps the sample firmly at the edge of this circular area.
