High Performance Fiber Woven Fabric refers to a woven textile reinforcement made by interlacing warp and weft yarns of high-performance fibers such as carbon fiber, aramid fiber, UHMWPE fiber, high-strength glass fiber, quartz fiber, basalt fiber, PBO fiber and other specialty fibers. It is designed to provide high strength-to-weight ratio, high modulus, impact resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance, flame resistance, electrical insulation or electromagnetic shielding performance, depending on the fiber system and weave structure. Compared with non-woven fabric and non-crimp fabric, woven fabric has a more stable interlaced structure and better handling performance, but the yarn crimp introduced by weaving may slightly reduce the straight-line load transfer efficiency.

Carbon fiber woven fabrics should continue to benefit from aircraft production recovery, high-end equipment lightweighting and premium sports applications. High-strength glass, quartz and ceramic woven fabrics are more closely linked to electrical insulation, high-temperature protection and thermal shielding. However, woven fabrics face substitution pressure from non-crimp fabrics and unidirectional materials in some structural parts because weaving introduces yarn crimp. As a result, growth is likely to concentrate in applications where appearance, drapeability, impact resistance, protection and multidirectional stability are more important.
