Compared with conventional single-tab or multi-tab structures, this design shortens the current path, reduces internal resistance and localized heat generation, and improves charging and discharging efficiency, power output, and internal current distribution uniformity.
The product combines the relatively high safety, long cycle life, and stable cost profile of LFP batteries with the advantages of large cylindrical cells, including higher single-cell capacity, fewer cells required per battery pack, strong structural integrity, and good compatibility with automated manufacturing. Its main technical challenges include electrode forming, wound-cell end-face processing, collector plate design, laser welding, metallic particle control, sealing consistency, and thermal management of large-format cells. Current applications mainly include light electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, industrial vehicles, energy storage systems, and backup power systems.
