This type of machining typically employs diamond wheel grinding, CNC grinding, surface grinding, internal and external cylindrical grinding, cutting, scribing, grooving, drilling, chamfering, lapping, polishing, thinning, air gap machining, grinding according to AL values, segmentation, bonding, and dimensional rework processes to ensure that ferrite components meet customer requirements for geometry, assembly tolerances, magnetic circuit air gaps, surface quality, edge integrity, and magnetic performance windows.
From a demand structure perspective, the growth in ferrite processing mainly comes from four scenarios: First, the demand for high-frequency magnetic cores and custom magnetic cores in power electronics, server power supplies, photovoltaic inverters, energy storage, and EV charging systems; second, the increasing requirements for EMI suppression, sensing, motor magnets, and the stability of magnetic components in automotive electronics and electric drive systems; third, the demand for ferrite substrates, microwave ferrite parts, and small-batch high-precision processing in communication, radar, medical, and millimeter-wave applications; and fourth, in R&D and small-batch projects, customers are unwilling to pay high costs for new molds, so they use secondary processing of standard blocks or magnetic cores to verify designs. With the increasing trends of high frequency, miniaturization, and high power density, the demand for custom ferrite processing will maintain steady growth.
