Electronic-grade nano-titanium dioxide is a titanium dioxide (TiO₂) powder material specifically designed for the electronics industry. It features nanoscale (typically 1-100 nm) particle sizes and ultra-high purity (typically ≥99.8%), primarily in the rutile crystal form. It possesses excellent dielectric properties, semiconductor characteristics, and electrical insulation. The content of impurities such as alkali metals (Na, K) and alkaline earth metals (Ca, Mg), which are detrimental to electrical performance, is strictly controlled. It is mainly used in the production of electronic components such as multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), PTC thermistors, and microwave components.
Nanoscale refers to particle sizes typically ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers (nm), resulting in higher specific surface area, stronger optical, electrical, and catalytic properties, and quantum size effects.
The crystal structure is predominantly rutile, with anatase used in a few special applications.
The upstream raw materials for electronic-grade nano-titanium dioxide include ilmenite, rutile, high-titanium slag, and titanium concentrate, while key intermediates include titanium tetrachloride (TiCl₄) and tetrabutyl titanate. The midstream is the core of the industry chain, determining product performance and quality, and mainly includes two key stages: high-purity titanium dioxide preparation and electronic-grade nano-sizing. The downstream is the value realization end of the industry chain. Due to its high dielectric constant, excellent insulation, and stable semiconductor properties, electronic-grade nano-titanium dioxide has become a core material for high-end electronic components.
