DLP (Digital Light Processing) optical engine is an optical projection technology based on digital micromirror technology. Widely used in fields such as projectors, 3D printing, and 3D scanning. The core of the DLP optical engine is the DMD (Digital Micro Mirror Device) chip, which is composed of thousands of tiny controllable mirrors. These micro mirrors can control the direction of reflected light based on the input digital signal. By controlling the tilt angle of these micro mirrors, an image composed of many tiny pixels can be formed on the screen. The working principle of the DLP optical engine is as follows: 1 Input signal: Converts input signals (such as videos, images, etc.) into digital signals. 2. Digital signal processing: After processing, the digital signal decomposes the image into many tiny pixels. 3. Control reflector: Based on the brightness and color information of each pixel, control the tilt angle of the reflector on the DMD chip and the direction of reflected light. 4. Light source and optical path: A beam of light is generated through a light source (usually a high brightness white LED or laser), which passes through optical path components such as lenses and color wheels to focus the reflected light onto the screen. 5. Image formation: The reflected light forms an image on the screen composed of many tiny pixels. The DLP optical engine has the following characteristics: 1 High brightness and contrast: DLP technology can provide images with high brightness and contrast, suitable for large-scale projection and commercial applications. 2. High resolution and detail: Due to the large number of micro mirrors on DMD chips, DLP technology can provide high-resolution and detailed images. 3. High frame rate: DLP technology can achieve high frame rate image display, suitable for fast dynamic image display. 4. 3D display: DLP technology can achieve the display of three-dimensional 3D images by using special 3D glasses.
