Midstream manufacturers convert these intermediates into industrial-grade, polymer-grade, or high-purity dibasic acids, which are packaged and distributed through chemical suppliers and distributors. Downstream, dibasic acids are consumed by manufacturers of engineering plastics, polyester resins, alkyd resins, synthetic lubricants, plasticizers, powder coatings, adhesives and sealants, personal care ingredients, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and various specialty chemical products.
