According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Data Center Fiber Optic Cable market size was valued at US$ 3889 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 8213 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 11.2% during review period.
In 2025, global sales volume of Data Center Fiber Optic Cable was approximately 900 million meters, with the mainstream ex-factory average price at around USD 4.2 per meter and gross margin of major manufacturers at approximately 25%–40%.
Data Center Fiber Optic Cable is a passive optical transmission medium and physical connection carrier for high-speed data center network infrastructure. It is mainly used for high-speed optical signal transmission among server, switch, distribution frame, cabinet, backbone cabling area and inter-room link. Compared with traditional telecom cable, its product design places greater emphasis on low link loss, high port density, stable polarity management, bending reliability, flame-retardant safety, rapid deployment and maintainability, enabling it to meet the cabling requirements of AI/HPC cluster, cloud computing platform and high-density equipment room for high speed, large bandwidth and low-latency interconnection.
Its upstream mainly includes optical fiber preform, singlemode/multimode fiber, aramid reinforcement material, low-smoke zero-halogen sheath material, connector, ceramic ferrule, MPO/MTP component, polishing equipment, end-face inspection equipment and cable processing equipment. Optical fiber determines link loss, bandwidth and transmission distance, while connector precision and pre-termination process directly affect on-site installation efficiency, link stability and high-density port reliability. Downstream demand mainly comes from AI/HPC data center, cloud service data center, enterprise data center, edge data center and data center interconnect. With the expansion of 800G and 1.6T high-speed network and GPU cluster scale, demand for high-fiber-count, low-loss, modular and pre-terminated fiber optic cable in data center cabling system continues to increase.
