According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Composite Insulated Panels market size was valued at US$ 10927 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 16781 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 6.3% during review period.
In 2025, global production of composite insulation boards reached 214,545,000 square meters, with an average selling price of US$49.5 per square meter.
Composite insulation boards are building cladding panels made by laminating two layers of metal face material with protective, load-bearing, and decorative functions to a continuous insulating core layer in a factory environment. The face material typically uses pre-coated steel sheet, galvanized or aluminized zinc steel sheet, stainless steel sheet, and aluminum sheet. The core material mainly includes rigid polyisocyanurate foam, rigid polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene, and mineral wool. Products can be manufactured through continuous foaming lamination, continuous adhesive bonding, or discontinuous injection molding processes, and utilize joint systems such as tongue and groove joints, concealed nails, overlaps, hooks, or standing seams to form complete roofing, exterior walls, interior partitions, ceilings, cold storage, and cleanroom enclosure structures.
In terms of product roadmap, ordinary PUR and EPS products will continue to occupy an important position in the cost-sensitive industrial, agricultural, and general cold storage markets, but the structural proportion of high-performance PIR and mineral wool products will continue to increase. PIR (Polymer Insulated Reinforced Insulated) strikes a relative balance between lower thermal conductivity, dimensional stability, and improved combustion performance, making it suitable for industrial buildings, cold storage facilities, and data centers. Mineral wool boards, on the other hand, have advantages in projects requiring high fire resistance, sound insulation, and certain insurance and building regulations. Future competition will gradually shift from simple board thickness and price comparisons to the overall building envelope's heat transfer coefficient, joint thermal bridging, airtightness, watertightness, structural span, fire resistance, surface coating lifespan, and life-cycle carbon emissions. Companies will also need to provide load calculations, joint design, BIM data, installation guidance, and project quality tracking. Different core materials will not become completely interchangeable under a single route; instead, they will be stratified over the long term based on fire resistance ratings, insulation requirements, building applications, and project budgets. A single production line has an annual capacity of approximately 4,000-5,000 square meters, with an industry average capacity utilization rate of approximately 93.74% and a gross profit margin of 28.37%.
