According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Commercial Ground Security Radar market size was valued at US$ 646 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 1001 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 6.4% during review period.
Commercial Ground Security Radar is a ground-installed radar sensor designed to detect, locate, track and classify moving targets around commercial properties and civilian critical infrastructure. Typical targets include walking or crawling persons, vehicles and animals.
The product operates continuously in darkness, rain, fog, dust and other conditions that may reduce the performance of conventional cameras. It can define alarm zones, track multiple targets and automatically cue visible-light or thermal cameras for visual verification.
In 2025, the global ASP was approximately US$28,000 per unit, global sales volume was approximately 22,414 units, and the estimated average gross margin was approximately 47%.
The upstream chain includes radio-frequency chips, antenna arrays, power amplifiers, signal processors, circuit boards, communication modules, enclosures and power supplies. Midstream activities include radar design, antenna integration, signal-processing development, target-classification software, assembly, calibration, environmental testing and system integration. Downstream users include airports, ports, energy facilities, factories, warehouses, data centers, telecommunications sites and other civilian high-security facilities.
The market is benefiting from the transition from fence-based perimeter protection toward wide-area intelligent surveillance. Fences and buried sensors generally detect intrusions only when a target reaches the boundary, while radar can identify and track movement before the target enters a restricted area.
Demand is particularly strong at sites where conventional cameras are affected by darkness, fog, rain, dust or long monitoring distances. Radar does not depend on visible light and can provide the target's distance, direction and speed, making it suitable for large open areas and facilities requiring continuous monitoring.
Radar and camera integration is becoming the standard system architecture. Once the radar detects a target, the system can automatically direct a visible-light or thermal camera toward its location. Video analytics can then confirm whether the target is a person, vehicle or animal, reducing unnecessary alarms.
Smaller solid-state radars are expanding the addressable market. Lower power consumption, compact antennas and network-based installation allow radar sensors to be deployed at warehouses, solar farms, logistics parks and data centers that previously relied mainly on cameras and guards.
Artificial intelligence is improving target classification and false-alarm filtering. New systems can distinguish people, vehicles, animals and environmental movement more accurately. However, vegetation, uneven terrain, nearby traffic and radar reflections still require careful site surveys and alarm-zone configuration.
North America and Europe remain important markets because of their large installed bases of airports, utilities, data centers and industrial facilities. Asia-Pacific is expected to record relatively rapid growth as logistics infrastructure, renewable-energy facilities, semiconductor plants and large industrial parks continue to expand.
