Different products are obtained through processes such as countercurrent extraction, nanofiltration concentration, electrodialysis desalination, and spray drying at 150–200℃. The inulin extraction rate is approximately 12–14%, meaning that 120–140 kg of high-purity inulin can be obtained from each ton of dried roots. The farmgate price of the raw material is 1.8–2.2 USD/kg, accounting for 35–40% of the ex-factory price of inulin. The energy consumption for drying, baking, or hot water extraction + nanofiltration concentration accounts for 20–25% of the production cost, while labor and equipment depreciation account for 15–20%.
