Compared to traditional precipitated silica produced via routes involving quartz sand, soda ash, and sulfuric acid, this product places greater emphasis on the use of renewable raw materials, low-carbon production, the resource utilization of agricultural waste, and the enhancement of low rolling resistance performance in tires. The upstream sector primarily comprises agricultural wastes—such as rice husks, rice husk ash, wheat straw ash, and bagasse ash—as well as auxiliary inputs including alkaline solutions, acids, steam, electricity, filtration materials, and packaging materials; the midstream sector consists of bio-based silica manufacturers. A typical manufacturing process involves extracting silicates from rice husk ash, followed by precipitation reactions to produce tire-grade, highly dispersible silica. The downstream sector consists mainly of tire manufacturers and rubber compounding enterprises, while end-market demand is driven by new energy vehicles (NEVs), fuel-efficient passenger cars, the replacement tire market, and automakers with stringent requirements for low-carbon supply chains. Gross margins range from approximately 20% to 45%.
