At the industrial dye level, Amido Black has relatively large consumption but low unit prices. High-purity or formulated products for laboratories, histology, and forensics have smaller consumption volumes but significantly higher unit prices and margins.
On the demand side, stable demand is mainly supported by dyeing of protein fibers such as leather, wool, silk, and nylon. Total protein staining, membrane staining, and tissue staining in life science laboratories provide higher-value small-batch demand. Forensic field applications require high sensitivity and contrast for bloodstain fingerprint development, leaving room for ready-to-use staining solutions, fixation-staining systems, and low-toxicity water-based formulations to replace older products.
