Within suitable transmission distances, they can also offer lower power consumption, greater deployment flexibility, and more competitive total cost than optical interconnect solutions. In 2025, global Active Electrical Cable (AEC) sales volume was approximately 1.60 million units, with an average selling price of around USD 505 per unit, although actual prices vary depending on data rate, connector type, cable length, and signal-processing architecture.
