    Wire tinning flux is a type of electronic soldering flux used in the dipping, tinning or pre-tinning of wires, conductors, cables, terminals and electronic component leads. It is typically formulated with rosin resin, organic activators, surfactants, solvents, corrosion inhibitors, stabilizers and other functional additives. Its main function is to remove oxides from the surfaces of copper wires, plated layers or metal leads before contact with molten solder, promote rapid wetting and uniform spreading of solder, improve tinning yield and solder coating appearance, and reduce defects such as cold solder joints, insufficient tinning, discoloration and uneven solder coating.
    Its upstream raw materials mainly include rosin and modified resins, organic acid activators, alcohol-based solvents, surfactants, corrosion inhibitors and functional additives. Downstream applications mainly include wire harness processing, cable processing, terminal connection, winding tinning and pre-tinning of component leads. With the miniaturization of electronic products, the widespread adoption of lead-free soldering and the increasing automation of wire harness processing, wire tinning flux is facing higher requirements for low residue, low corrosion, halogen-free environmental performance, rapid wetting and batch-to-batch stability. As a result, the product is gradually evolving toward no-clean, environmentally friendly and automation-compatible formulations.
