Water-cooled flat linear motors are permanent-magnet synchronous direct-drive motors that convert electrical energy directly into linear thrust while using integrated liquid-cooling passages to control heat generated in the windings and, where applicable, the iron core. A typical product comprises a primary coil or forcer, a permanent-magnet track, temperature sensors, liquid-cooling channels or manifolds, coolant ports, and power and sensor cables. Commercial configurations include single-sided iron-core, double-sided iron-core, and selected ironless flat motor designs, supplied as component kits, coil units, magnet tracks, packaged motor modules, or customer-specific motor assemblies. Key specifications include continuous and peak force, force constant, back-EMF constant, normal magnetic attraction, maximum velocity, winding thermal resistance, coolant flow rate, pressure drop, inlet temperature, and permissible winding temperature rise. By removing heat close to its source, active liquid cooling enables higher continuous-force density, reduces thermal transfer into the machine structure, and improves dimensional stability during long-duty-cycle operation.
