Two-component condensation room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (RTV-2 for short) is the most common type of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. It consists of two components: one component is the rubber compound, the main component of which is hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (or other polysiloxane); the other component is a catalyst, a crosslinking agent and other additives. After mixing, the two components will begin to undergo a curing reaction to form an elastomer. By adjusting the ratio of the two components, the type and amount of the catalyst, the vulcanization time, degree of vulcanization and physical properties after curing, such as hardness and tensile strength, can be accurately controlled. The vulcanized silicone rubber has excellent electrical insulation, arc resistance, corona resistance, water resistance, ozone resistance, weathering resistance and high and low temperature resistance, and can be used for a long time within -60~200℃ (or a wider temperature range). Two-component condensation room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has good adhesion to various materials, such as metals, glass, ceramics, plastics, etc., and can be used for various sealing, caulking and bonding applications.
