It is a premium metal powder material with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, high-temperature oxidation resistance, creep resistance and corrosion resistance.

In the industrial chain, the upstream mainly includes molybdenum concentrate, molybdenum oxide, molybdenum powder, alloying additives such as titanium, zirconium and carbon, powder preparation and spheroidization equipment, protective gases, and energy. The downstream mainly includes TZM alloy billets, plates, rods and components, high-temperature furnace parts, hot-working dies, X-ray anodes, aerospace hot-end components, semiconductor thermal-field components, and additive manufacturing applications.
    TZM powder market demand is driven by high-temperature tooling, vacuum furnace parts, X-ray rotating anodes, aerospace thermal components, semiconductor-related thermal parts and selected energy or nuclear applications. Future growth is expected to come more from specification upgrades than from mass-volume expansion. AM-grade TZM powder, in particular, may benefit from refractory metal additive manufacturing, but the adoption curve remains constrained by process qualification, powder cost, oxygen control, cracking risk and end-user certification cycles. The market outlook is positive but niche, with growth likely to be steady rather than explosive.
