It is suitable for the desizing process of natural fibers (such as cotton and silk) and synthetic fibers (such as polyester) that are not resistant to high temperatures. Its core ingredient is α-amylase, which hydrolyzes the α-1,4 glycosidic bonds in starch molecules and decomposes macromolecular starch into soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides, so that the starch sizing on the fabric can be easily removed in subsequent washing.
