The Ultrafine Aluminum Hydroxide market is mainly driven by the shift from halogenated flame retardants toward halogen-free, low-smoke, and low-toxicity flame-retardant systems. ATH decomposes endothermically at elevated temperature and releases water vapor, which helps cool the polymer matrix, dilute combustible gases, and suppress smoke generation. Demand is particularly strong in photovoltaic cables, charging-pile cables, rail transit cables, electronic insulation materials, automotive interiors, silicone rubber, EVA/PE compounds, epoxy systems, and high-end composite materials.
