Depending on product design, the material system may further involve different TPU chemistries—such as polyester-, polyether-, polycaprolactone-, aromatic-, or aliphatic-based grades—as well as modifiers, nucleating additives, or reinforcing agents to improve melt strength, cell stabilization, rebound, and dimensional stability. From the downstream perspective, the most representative application directions include footwear materials, sports and protective cushioning products, industrial cushioning / sealing / vibration-management components, wearable electronics and flexible sensing materials, and biomedical scaffolds or medical foam components.
