It therefore combines the hydrophilic properties of polyoxyethylene chains with the lipophilic properties of long-chain oleate groups
The product facilitates the emulsification and dispersion of vegetable oils, synthetic esters, and oil-based cosmetic ingredients in water, while improving the cleansing, spreading, and rinsing performance of oil-based formulations. It is particularly suitable for personal care formulations such as cleansing oils, cleansing balms, color cosmetics, and personal cleansing and hair care products. It can also be used in industrial emulsification systems, including metalworking fluids. Products from different manufacturers vary in color, acid value, saponification value, hydroxyl value, and odor control, and are generally available in industrial grade and personal care grade.
