    The upstream of solid sulfur-containing silane coupling agents mainly includes silane intermediates (such as triethoxychlorosilane), sulfur, and inorganic carriers (fumed silica, silicates). Among these, the price fluctuation of fumed silica (affected by energy costs) is a key cost factor. Downstream sectors are concentrated in the tire industry (accounting for approximately 65%), rubber products, automotive parts, and composite materials. With the advancement of global green tire regulations, the trend of fumed silica replacing carbon black is accelerating. Solid silanes, due to their advantages of low VOCs, low odor, high safety, and ease of storage and transportation, are rapidly increasing their penetration rate in newly built tire factories in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam).
