    A regenerative fuel cell is a hydrogen electrochemical device with bidirectional electrochemical reaction capability, also known as a water electrolysis-fuel cell integrated machine.     Upstream of regenerative fuel cell systems mainly includes proton exchange membranes or solid electrolytes, catalysts and precious metals, bipolar plate materials, gas diffusion layers, sealing and structural materials, as well as power electronics and control components. Downstream applications represent the core source of demand and are primarily focused on renewable energy storage and grid balancing, grid-side and microgrid systems, off-grid or weak-grid power supply, space and deep-space missions, military and emergency backup power, and selected high-end industrial and island energy systems.
